Houston Astros’ Odds

Once a laughing-stock of Major League Baseball, the Astros produced a combined 162-324 three year record from 2011 to 2013. Shedding the “Bad News Bears” tag, Houston silenced their critics by going 101-61 and winning the MLB Championship during the 2017 season. LIVE prices for the Houston Astros next game, furnished by veteran MLB bookmakers, are always available here.

The team matches will be displayed here once available

Originally founded as the Houston Colt .45s in 1962, reflecting their sponsor The Colt Firearms Company not the frosty malt beverage, the Astros modern-day moniker was adopted in 1965. One of two Major League Baseball teams, in the great State of Texas, the Houston Astros won their franchise first World Series Championship in 2017. Tracking the ‘Stros league standings progress, their next contest odds, plus LIVE MLB match scores is simple here at CSB.

Houston Astros’ Standings

Complicating the baseball betting process – following the 162-match regular-season marathon can be a time-consuming task. That is especially true when one considers that the overall standings change minute by minute, on a daily basis, during the six-month journey to the MLB layoffs. The CSB standings widget is LIVE 24/7 so handicappers can easily track the Houston Astros current ranking.

Bet On Houston Astros’ AL and Interleague Contests

Tending to stay neutral on a team’s name, crest and mascot debates, our opinions on those topics are kept close to the vest. That said, imagine the outrage if Houston still carried the Colt .45 mantra. Yikes! It is ironic that the name change was partly due to the gun company wanting more money and control of the team. Having zero part of that, owner Roy Hofheinz (The Judge) cancelled the deal and the Astros arrived on the scene. The new name was connected to the “Eighth Wonder of the World” Astrodome Stadium and honoured the Houston arm of a burgeoning USA Space program.

National League members, from 1962 to 1968, then NL West (’69 to ’93) and NL Central (’94 to ’12) Houston moved to the MLB American League West Division in 2013. Astros fans didn’t have a lot to cheer about in the early days as Houston advanced to the playoffs just three times during their first 35 seasons – losing once in the NLDS and twice in the NLCS round. Jekyll and Hyde after that, the ‘Stros lost in five NLDS series and one the NLCS battle, over eight seasons, prior to winning the NL Pennant in 2005. Houston was blanked 4-0 by the Chicago White Sox in the 101st World Series.

Backing Houston Is Not A Problem In Canada

Meticulously crafted, by a new ownership and management group, that included Houston hero and Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan, Houston dug themselves out of a dismal 3-Peat of 100 plus loss seasons and became an MLB American League contender. Serving up notice, that they were building a rock-solid squad, the Astros went 86-96 in 2015. Houston then defeated the New York Yankees in the Wild Card game and gave the Kansas City Royals a battle prior to losing in the ALDS. That was a sign of things to come as rising stars were starting to litter the Lone Star State baseball landscape.

Missing the 2016 postseason, an astronomical rise was completed when Justin Verlander, George Springer, José Altuve & Crew took out the Boston Red Sox (ALDS 3-1) and Yankees (ALCS 4-3) prior defeating the LA Dodgers (4-3) to earn their franchise first Fall Classic Championship. Paired with their 2005 NLCS title – Houston is the lone dual League Championship team. Milwaukee is the only team that could match that feat as the Brewers won the ALCS in 1982 and now reside in the NL Central. Whether investing in Astros futures prices, match day lines, or exciting LIVE in-game odds, top online bookmakers offer Canadian ‘Cappers the best bang for their baseball betting bucks.
