CFL Predictions Today

While it may not be totally true to say the TV, Radio and Mobile broadcasters demand a steady rise in viewership as CFL Week 1 action moves along, that’s basically what we get this weekend. That said, all four contests appear to be pretty fair fights. We start our journey at SportsInteraction and will secure the best prices on each game at the top sportsbooks here at Canada Sports Betting.

Looking to put overall dismal seasons behind them, Montreal (7-11) welcomes Saskatchewan (5-11) into La Belle Province tonight. Veteran QB Kevin Glenn is charged with picking up the ‘Riders last ranked offence. Montreal is revamped from top to bottom and that begins with QB Darian Durant. Expecting a close contest, we are taking the ‘Riders +7 (-120) ATS odds at SportsInteraction.

Final Score: Montreal Alouettes 17-16

  • Calgary at Ottawa Pick: Stampeders -6 (-105) at Bodog

Though the stage is not as bright, Ottawa and Calgary meet in a rematch of the 104th Grey Cup game on June 23, 2017. Pivots Bo Levi Mitchell and Trevor Harris face tough defenses here. Both teams lost key pieces in the offseason but the Stamps excel when it comes to the “next man up” mantra. The big price is a slight concern but we are laying the -6 (-105) to back Calgary at Bodog.

Final Score: 31-31 Tie Game

  • Edmonton at British Columbia Pick: Eskimos +4 (-110) at William Hill

Kicking off what will be a wild ride, in a stacked West Division, Edmonton opens their 2017 CFL season in BC on June 24. Two explosive offenses hook up here and we get our first look at how the Lions will fare without All-Star LB Adam Bighill who jumped to the New Orleans Saints. Tempted by the OVER 60 points at William Hill we have decided to take the +4 (-110) to back the Eskimos.

Final Score: Edmonton Eskimos 30-27

  • Hamilton at Toronto Pick: Tiger-Cats -3.5 (-110) at Bet365

Week 1 of the 2017 CFL season closes with an All-Ontario contest when Hamilton visits Toronto to re-fire their decades old rivalry on June 25. The Tiger-Cats are projected to battle Ottawa for top spot in the East Division while the Argonauts are a consensus pick to occupy the CFL cellar. A strong “blowout of the week” candidate – we are backing the Cats -3.5 (-110) ATS price at Bet365.

Final Score: Toronto Argonauts 32-15
