Week six of the CFL season comes to a close on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 7:00 PM ET when the British Columbia Lions host the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at BC Place in Vancouver, British Columbia. We like the Lions to grab the win at home tonight.
British Columbia Lions: Aiming for another win
British Columbia enters this CFL contest with a 3-2 mark on the season through the first five weeks. They need one win to tie the Calgary Stampeders for second place in the West Division with eight points. The Lions have allowed more points on defense than they have scored on offense, which needs to be fixed.
Winnipeg Blue Bombers: Still sitting on one win
Winnipeg is having a very tough season in 2013, entering this game with a 1-4 record and sitting in the basement of the East Division. They have allowed 146 points on defense, which is second-worst in the league. We do not see them grabbing a win tonight to improve their chances and are 1-1 on the road.
For tonight’s CFL contest between the British Columbia Lions and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers we browse the sportsbook at Bodog.ca for the odds. The Lions are favored at home with a -11 point spread. We are going to back British Columbia in front of the home fans straight up with 50 percent of our bankroll tonight.
