As the brutal NHL schedule continues on, we take a look at the Vancouver Canucks and Dallas Stars on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at 8:30 PM ET. The game is being played at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. Both teams are having decent seasons during the shortened schedule, but we are going to back the visiting Canucks on Thursday night.
Vancouver Canucks: Out for revenge against Stars
Vancouver holds an 8-3-4 record, good for 20 points, and is 3-1-2 on the road so far this season. The Canucks are in the midst of their longest losing streak of the season, having lost three straight games. The losing streak began with a loss to the Stars. A visit to Dallas might be just what the doctor ordered for the Canucks, who are 4-0-1 against the Stars in their last five games there. They last won in Dallas on March 22.
Dallas Stars: Looking for another win over Vancouver
Dallas is trying to defeat the Canucks for the second time since Friday. The Stars are 8-7-1 overall, good for 17 points, and are 3-2-1 at home. They have struggled in their home arena against Vancouver lately. After beating the Canucks on Friday, the Stars have lost two straight games, both of them to the Calgary Flames. Tonight’s starting goaltender has yet to be announced by the team after Kari Lehtonen was injured last week.
