Did You Know?

- The Bruins failed to gain ground in the Atlantic division standings chase on Tuesday. Boston couldn’t get a single puck past Blues netminder Jake Allen who stopped all 32 shots in a 2-0 St. Louis win. (The visiting Blues were a +135 moneyline underdog heading in.) Vladimir Tarasenko scored his 22nd marker of the year in the win as they cruise into second place in the Central.

- New York Giants wideout Odell Beckham Jr. is appealing the one game suspension that the NFL sent his way after his controversial actions in Week 15. OBJ recieved three personal foul penalties in Sunday’s heated 38-35 loss to the undefeated Carolina Panthers. The appeal will be heard today with a decision expected to be handed down not long after. Beckham Jr.’s presence would be a huge boost to a Giants team that’s a six point road underdog going into their Sunday Night Football clash against Minnesota. Depending on how things pan out for the NFC East leading Skins, the Giants might be playing to stay afloat in the playoff chase.

- The Cards are the latest MLB franchise to make a big purchase on the arms market. St. Louis have reportedly worked out a pact to acquire the services of ex-Giants hurler Mike Leake. The deal comes as the Cardinals try to reload following the exit of pitcher John Lackey and outfielder Jason Heyward. Leake, who will earn $80 million over five years, had an 11-10 record in 2015 splitting time in Cincinnati and San Francisco. The Cardinals are listed as a 12/1 shot to win the World Series in 2016.
