UFC Fight Night: Sao Paulo was days ago but we can’t stop thinking of this absolutely brutal knockout served up by Thomas Almeida. - The Timberwolves improved to a flawless 4-0 on the road this year thanks to a 117-107 thumping of Atlanta. Minnesota, an eight-and-a-half point road underdog, enjoyed a 33 point night from rising star Andrew Wiggins and 12 rebounds collected by Karl-Anthony Towns in the win. Jeff Teague put 24 points on the board for the Hawks in a losing cause.
- The 76ers are still winless on the year. Lowly Philadephia drops to 0-7 after getting crushed 111-88 by Chicago on Monday night. Nikola Mirotic scored 22 points for the Bulls and Pau Gasol notched six blocks in this Eastern Conference smackdown. Chicago’s off until Friday when they host the Hornets, meanwhile Philly has the Toronto Raptors coming to town tomorrow.
- The New England Patriots will have to move on without Dion Lewis. The 25-year-old running back is out for the season after suffering a torn left ACL against Washington in Week 9. Lewis has been a valuable contributor for New England as a dual rushing/recieving threat and collected four TDs for the Pats in this year’s campaign. New England will look to go 9-0 this weekend in a road battle with the Giants. The Patriots are currently favoured by seven points.
