Carolina feasted on a bounty of Tony Romo picks to cruise to 11-0 on Thanksgiving. Romo tossed three INTs and left with a collarbone injury as the Panthers (a one point road favourite) torched Dallas 33-14. Cam Newton and the Panthers have been lighting up the NFC East this year beating their opponents 104-46 in three games played so far. Newton didn’t rack up a TD through the air but he did score one on the ground. Carolina can hit 12-0 next week in New Orleans.

In the mood for the best brand of Thanksgiving leftovers? The NBA has put their “top stuffs” on display in a supercut to obsess over. Highlight reel blocks are the name of the game with memorable moments like Tristan Thompson denying Chris Bosh taking center stage. Or is that center court? Either way, good stuff. The Cavs are currently favoured by four tonight in their road showdown with Charlotte.
Did You Know?
- Philadelphia got absolutely lit up in their early afternoon Thanksgiving tilt against the lowly Lions. Detroit (a three point home favourite) obliterated the Eagles 45-14 with Matthew Stafford tossing five TDs and Megatron snagged three of those big ticket scores. This marks the second game in a row that the Eagles have given up 45 points to their opponent. Both teams are now 4-7 on the year and Chip Kelly’s seat gets another notch hotter.
- Aaron Rodgers had a rough night at Lambeau on Thursday. The Packers QB barely made it to 200 yards and tossed one interception as the Bears edged Green Bay 17-13. Chicago’s been a lacklustre 5-6 this year but an impressive 4-2 on the road. The Packers had a chance to score late in the 4th but were shut down by the Bears D. Minnesota have a chance to take a one game lead in the NFC North this Sunday versus Atlanta.
- Washington is dealing with a very unwelcome obstacle in their quest for the NFC East crowd. The Skins have learned that CB Chris Culliver is done for the season due to an ACL injury obtained in practice. Previous injuries and suspensions had limited Culliver to six games this year. Washington are a three point underdog in their crucial divisional showdown with the Giants this weekend.
- Mike Condon’s been everything you could want in a backup-turned-sub, but we imagine Montreal are very concerned to hear that Carey Price will be missing more time due to an injury. The lower body ailment Price suffered earlier in the season was aggravated in Wednesday night’s 5-1 win over the Rangers. This current health hiccup will keep the reigning Hart Trophy winner out of the lineup for one week or more. Montreal (a -113 moneyline road favourite) and New Jersey will square off tonight in Newark.
