American League West Major League Baseball action has our attention today as the Texas Rangers host the Seattle Mariners for the third of a four game set Texas. Seattle blew out Texas 7-1 in the opener before the Rangers shutout the Mariners 5-0 last night. First pitch is slated for 8:05 PM EDT on April 15, 2014, from Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas.
Texas Rangers: Riding a wobbly start to the 2014 MLB season
Lose one – win one has been the Texas way recently as the Rangers have followed that path over their past ten games. If that trend is snapped, the Rangers will win back-to-back contests for just the second time in 15 games this season. Rangers ace RHP Yu Darvish heads to bump riding a scoreless innings streak that has reached 15 consecutive innings over which he has tossed 15 strikeouts. Darvish is 3-3 in seven starts versus the Mariners.
Seattle Mariners: Cooling down some after hot start out of the gate
After sweeping their season opening series versus the Los Angeles Angels, by a combined 26-8 count, Seattle has slumped some as they are 4-6 over their last ten contests. Their four most recent loses are concerning as the M’s were outscored 13-1 in those games. In this Ace vs. Ace battle RHP Felix Hernandez, who is 3-0 with a tiny 2.11 ERA, gets the call to the hill for Seattle. Hernandez has one win against the Angels and two over Oakland.
CSB MLB Call: Parlay 500 units on the Rangers money line with the UNDER 7 runs.
