Los Angeles Angels: AL West leaders with the other Texas team

After catching and then blowing past Texas, Los Angeles is now tied with the surprising Houston Astros in the American League West Division playoff race. Despite back-to back losses, the Angels are one of the hotter teams in the Majors with a 17-5 record over their last 22 games. LHP Hector Santiago (7-4 ERA 2.30) heads to the hill for the Halos. Santiago has been sizzling as he’s allowed just four runs, over 32 innings pitched, during his last five starts. That is white hot folks.

Texas Rangers: Sizzling hot run in June has fizzled out in the Lone Star State

Despite their 46-49 overall record, the MLB 2015 season must be a surprise for Texas fans. While they won’t make the playoffs, the Rangers are playing above the +5000 World Series price they were tagged with in March. Texas climbed to within 1.5 games of the AL West lead back on June 13 but they have tumbled with 13-20 record over their last 33 games. RHP Yovani Gallardo (7-9 ERA 2.91) toes the rubber for Texas. Gallardo has a rough go over his last three outings.

Angels vs Rangers MLB Game Day Call: Los Angeles has won Santiago’s last five starts and the Angels offense has been pounded their opponents by 38-8 margin in those contests. Following a brilliant June, where he allowed just two earned runs over 33.1 innings pitched, Gallardo has lost his last three starts as he’s given up nine runs over 15.1 innings. We are aligning with the Angels and backing Los Angeles with a 500 unit wager on the money line price posted at Bet365.
