Texans vs Jets NFL Monday Night Football Online Odds

As the MLB playoffs continue Monday night, the NFL features its most interesting game of the week as the Houston Texans visit the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Kickoff is scheduled for Monday, October 8, 2012 at 8:30 PM ET. Houston comes into the game with a 4-0 record while the Jets are 2-2 and in shambles at the moment with various injuries to key players. The Texans all-around game play should keep the Jets at bay so back Houston on Monday night.

Houston Texans: The NFL’s best team?

Is it possible that the Houston Texans are the best team in the NFL? At 4-0, there is nothing against that argument right now even as the Atlanta Falcons sit at 5-0. Houston seems to take care of the ball effortlessly on offense, defense and special teams almost each time the team takes the field. The Jets can pose a problem for the Texans but this game should not be an upset alert game for Houston because of their stellar defense.

New York Jets: Have injuries taken their toll?

New York will be without star cornerback Darrelle Revis and wide receiver Santonio Holmes for the remainder of the season, which has struck a huge blow to both sides of the ball. Head coach Rex Ryan will be tested tonight when it comes to his play calling and the way he handles any adversity that might come up during the game. If the Jets can knock off the Texans, they would be making a major statement to the league.

This game brings so much intrigue because of how well-balanced the Texans offense is and how the Jets defense will respond to Arian Foster and Matt Schaub. The online sportsbook of Bodog.ca has the Texans as -10 (-105) favorites to defeat the host Jets on Monday Night Football. It would be silly to bet against a 4-0 team with so much balance so we are going to support the Texans in this AFC contest.
