Week 17 of the NFL season ends on Sunday, December 30, 2012 and one of the games features the Houston Texans and the Indianapolis Colts meeting in Indianapolis, Indiana at 1 PM ET. The game is being played at Lucas Oil Stadium. Both teams are headed to the playoffs, with the Texans still trying to secure the number one seed in the AFC. Chuck Pagano returns to the sidelines for Indy, who we like Sunday.
Indianapolis Colts: Perseverance permeates with team
Chuck Pagano returns to the sideline for the Colts for the first time since beginning his battle with leukemia three months ago. Pagano will try to get the Colts their 11th win of the season, which will not change their number five seeding in the AFC playoffs, but can create some momentum as the post-season nears. The team has played inspired football all year, especially after finishing last year with a 2-14 mark.
Houston Texans: Playing for top seed in AFC playoffs
Houston has yet to clinch the number one seed in the AFC playoffs, but has another shot when facing Indy on Sunday in a divisional game. The Texans are 12-3 overall, 5-0 in the division and 6-1 on the road. Houston has lost two of its last three games, with both losses being blowouts at the hands of the Patriots and the Vikings. In between those losses, the Texans knocked off the Colts by a score of 29-17.
Week 17 has an incredible slate of games to get the fans prepared for the playoffs. Despite the AFC not having any playoff spots open, there is still the matter of the number one seed to be decided. Indy, 6-1 at home this year, will prevent the Texans from securing a 13th win and the top seed. Bet365.com has the Colts at +6.5 (-110) for Sunday’s game. We will bet the +245 MoneyLine and the Colts in this game.
