Texas Rangers: Yu Darvish to the hill
Yu Darvish has been stellar for the Rangers this season, pitching to a record of 12-7 and an ERA of 2.91. Darvish has struggled his last four times out, four games that the Rangers have lost. Against the National League in his career, Darvish is 4-0 with a 1.93 ERA in five starts. Darvish has not faced the Pirates.
Pittsburgh Pirates: Battling for the Central
Pittsburgh is in the midst of an incredibly tight NL Central race. The St. Louis Cardinals are atop the division by 1.5 games over the Pirates and the Cincinnati Reds, who are tied for second with Pittsburgh. Tonight, the Pirates ask Gerrit Cole to tame the hot Rangers lineup. He is 6-7 with an ERA of 3.74 in 2013.
