National Football League Week 3 preseason action kicks off with a beauty as Philadelphia welcomes Pittsburgh to the City of Brotherly Love. Something has to give as the Steelers and Eagles both look for a rare preseason victory. Game time is slated for 7:30 PM ET on August 21, 2014, at Lincoln Financial Field in Pennsylvania, USA. Back the Eagles here.
Will Eagles games continue to produce NCAAF final results?
While we get that Philadelphia Head Coach Chip Kelly cut his teeth with the high octane Oregon Ducks NCAAF program, the numbers produced in Eagles games have been staggering recently. In the present, the Keystone State Crew have dropped their first two preseason contests by a combined 63-76 final score. After bouts with the potent offense of the Patriots (L 42-35) and Bears (L 34-28) the Eagles face a Steelers squad whose games have had a 39-32 combined final tally. Dating back to their NFL 2013 Week 14 contest versus the Lions, the total score in the Eagles last six games has been 236-146 which is good for a smidgen over a 39-24 per game – yo mama!
Expect the studs to play significant minutes during NFL Week 3 action
Of the four NFL preseason weeks – the Week 3 schedule is by far the most competitive. Depending on any minor injuries they may be dealing with, expect stars like QB Nick Foles, RB LeSean McCoy and WR Jeremy Maclin to play at least the first half of tonight’s contest. Foles, who opened last season as the backup QB in Philadelphia, entered Week 3 action in the fourth quarter during a 31-24 win over the Jaguars last year. Expect three quarters of play for Foles in this game. While we’re not totally sold on the Steelers as they head into The Link tonight, we do see them putting in a quality effort here. Pittsburgh starters were solid last week as QB Ben Roethlisberger & Co. scored touchdowns during their first two series in a 19-16 win over the Buffalo Bills. Green on Philly returns green.
NFL Prediction: Tempted by the UNDER we’ll instead lay 360 units on the Eagles money line at William Hill.

Handicappers who convince themselves - and anyone else who will listen - that the Kentucky Derby is just another race probably haven't cashed too many tickets on the first Saturday in May. The truth is people should bet the Derby differently because of just how unlike any other race it is.
Instead of trying to figure out which backup National Football League players are better than others, while betting on NFL preseason action, we turn to fight for first in Canadian Football League. Meeting for the third time this season, these rivals hit the gridiron at 10:00 PM ET on August 19, 2016, at BC Place in Vancouver.
