Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation Announces Online Gaming

Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation Announces Online Gaming
Following the lead of British Columbia, Quebec, Manitoba and the Atlantic provinces, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is stepping into the world of online gambling. The PlayOLG website will go live in January 2015.

OLG prepares to offer Table Games Slots and Lottery online

Appearing to have given up on the fruitless game of whack-a-mole that they’ve been playing with numerous offshore wagering websites for years now, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation is finally coming out of the stone-age. In a classic “If you can’t beat them – join them” scenario, the OLG is now prepared to offer live online gaming and lottery ticket sales to the residents of Ontario. The new PlayOLG website will launch with live slot games, single-player poker, Blackjack, Sic Bo, Baccarat and Roulette, along with the sale of Lotto Max, Lotto 6/49 and Encore lottery tickets.

Online Sports Betting and live Poker are labeled with a “Coming Soon” tag at PlayOLG

Facts are facts and the vast majority of gamblers want two things from their go-to online wagering website – sports betting and live poker. While neither of those will be offered with the initial PlayOLG launch, we have it on good authority that they will be available shortly. While it’s certainly about time, sports bettors need to remember that the Government “hooks” will still exist once PlayOLG does add sports betting to their menu. This includes minimum three selections on Point Spread and Over/Under tickets plus the rather absurd five selections per game offered with the Pro Line option. Though it’s certainly a long way from optimal – at least steps are being taken in the proper direction. All that said, the top rated offshore bookmakers reviewed and recommended here at Canada Sports Betting are still by far your best bet for poker and sports wagering excitement.
