NFL Week 9 Money Line Parlay: Back the Huge Home Chalk
Cincinnati vs Jacksonville: Bengals look to claw the Jaguars
Very inconsistent since jumping out of the gate with a 3-0 record, Cincinnati (4-2-1) is looking for back to back wins after they registered a 27-24 come from behind victory at home against Baltimore last Sunday. The injury bug continues to sting the Bengals as RB Giovani Bernard will miss this contest with a shoulder injury – rookie RB Jeremy Hill has proven to be a quality backup. On the Good News injury front, Cinci should get star WR A. J. Green back for this contest after he missed three games with a big toe injury. Jacksonville enters this contest with a 1-7 record and the Jaguars own the the worst PF versus PA differential in the NFL (-100) as they have been outscored by a combined 118-218 final count. Better on both sides of the ball – we are backing the Bengals.
Kansas City vs New York: Chiefs are rolling while Jets stay grounded
Following an 0-2 start, Kansas City is on a roll as they have four of their last five games. The Chiefs sandwiched a tough 22-17 loss to San Francisco in Week 5 with wins over Miami and New England and then San Diego and St. Louis. After a 19-14 Week 1 win over Oakland (0-7) New York has dropped seven straight games as their season circles the porcelain. The Jets nose-dived to a new low last weekend as they committed six turnovers and were bashed 43-23 by Buffalo at home. New York has lost their three road games, by a combined 89-48 final count, as they head into the always hostile Arrowhead Stadium environment. The Chiefs D will be the difference here and the ladies above won’t get left out in the rain as they’ll have plenty to cheer about in Missouri on Sunday.
San Francisco vs St. Louis: 49ers look for a second half resurgence
There are good times for a bye week and there are bad times for a bye week – the former is more appropriate here. San Francisco was busted up 42-17 by the Broncos in Week 7 action and have had two weeks off to figure out what went wrong. Though not the powerhouse many expected they would be, the 49ers are still a very good football team that’s loaded with talent. They will look to take their frustrations out on a St. Louis team that gets weaker by the week as injuries are starting to pile up in Missouri. OT Jake Long and WR Brian Quick are the most recent Rams to be placed on injured reserve while a cast of characters are listed as questionable for this contest. After spotting St. Louis a 14-0 lead in their Week 6 clash, the Niners rolled the Rams 31-17 in the Show Me State.
