NFL Week 12 Monday Night Football: A Rare Double Dip for Parlay Bettors
Knowing all too well the impact severe weather has on a community, we feel for the good people in the Buffalo area and wish them well in the coming days. Due to major weather issues, the Bills are on the road tonight as the home team at Ford Field in Detroit for their 7:00 PM ET battle with the New York Jets. The regularly scheduled November 24, 2014, Week 12 Monday Night Football contest has New Orleans hosting Baltimore at 8:35 PM ET at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana. Back the visitors and then add the Penguins over the Bruins in NHL action.
Jets vs Bills: High scoring contests have been a recent trend
Dating back to the 2010 NFL season there have been a lot of blowouts in games between Buffalo and New York. In nine meetings, the average margin of victory has been 34.5 to 17.0 good for a 311-153 combined final score. The Jets are 6-3 in those games and their wins were by a 34.3 to 17.3 count. The past four games have been split and the combined 240 points scored works out to 60 points per game. Five of the last six meetings were decided by 16 points or more with the lone exception being the Jets 27-20 win in Week 3 last season. Since his first game as a Jet, the Bills 43-23 Week 8 gashing in Gotham, WR Percy Harvin is settling in as an important weapon in the New York offence. We don’t expect Gang Green to turn the ball over six times, as they did in the first meeting, so the displaced/distracted Buffalo Crew may be in tough when it comes to scoring here.
New Orleans Saints vs Baltimore Ravens: Inconsistent squads meet for a battle in the Bayou
Baltimore (6-4) heads out on the road with a winning record but the Ravens sit last overall in the AFC North and they are out of a playoff spot. New Orleans (4-6) has dropped two straight home games (27-24 vs SF and 27-10 vs CIN) but the Saints sit first in the NFC South and currently own a postseason position. These teams last met in Week 15 of the 2010 NFL season as Baltimore posted a 30-24 home win. Only one of the previous five games in this series, that began in 1996 and the Ravens lead 4-1, was played in the Bayou, a 35-22 Ravens in Week 8 of the 2006 NFL season. New Orleans looks to avoid three straight home losses since they lost six in row at the Superdome in 2005. Baltimore is coming off a bye following a 21-7 home win over Tennessee in Week 10.
NFL Week 12 Parlay Plus Bonus NHL Prediction: New York has gained some mojo from new players stepping up while teams have started to figure out Bills QB Kyle Orton and Buffalo as a group has had a rough ten days. Although they lost 24-18 on the road in Cleveland after their bye last season, the Ravens are 5-1 in their last six games following an extra week of rest. They also celebrated their Super Bowl XLVII victory the last time they played in the Bayou. Take the points and wager 200 units on a Jets + Ravens two-team parlay at Bodog.
