NBA action resumes Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 8 PM ET when the Atlanta Hawks visit the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Atlanta is 20-12 overall and 9-6 on the road while the Timberwolves are 15-15 overall and 9-5 at home this season. Minnesota is now without star Kevin Love, which will be a huge loss. We will bet on the Hawks on the road Tuesday night.
Atlanta Hawks: Take advantage of opponent injuries
Atlanta has 20 wins so far and can grab win number 21 if they knock off the host Timberwolves on Tuesday night, who will be without Kevin Love. Atlanta has struggled of late, losing their last two games and playing to a 5-5 record in their previous 10 games, but tonight should get them back in the win column against a struggling Minnesota club. The Hawks have won five straight against the Timberwolves in Minnesota.
Minnesota Timberwolves: Moving on without Kevin Love
Kevin Love is out of the lineup, center Nikola Pekovic is out of the lineup, but Ricky Rubio should return to the lineup tonight for the T’Wolves, who are banged up pretty bad right now. Minnesota has lost five straight at home to Atlanta and 11 straight overall to the Hawks. Minnesota has lost six of its last 10 games and are 15-15 on the season. They will need all hands on deck to beat the visiting Hawks tonight.
There are not that many games on the NBA schedule tonight, and this one brings the most intrigue with it because of the injury adversity with the Timberwolves and the streak the Hawks have going against Minnesota. Something has to give tonight, but Bodog.ca has the Hawks as +1 (-110) tonight. We will bet 10 percent of our bankroll on the Hawks and the spread on Tuesday night in hostile territory.
