National Hockey League 2014-15 Stanley Cup Bodog Futures Betting Odds

National Hockey League 2014-15 Stanley Cup Bodog Futures Betting Odds
It is an amazing time to be a fan of major North American sports. The MLB Fall Classic is underway, NFL and NCAA footballs are flying and now the National Hockey League chase to capture Stanley is at the staring gate. With the NHL regular season opening on October 8, 2014, today we look at the futures odds to claim the 2015 Stanley Cup Championship currently posted at the Bodog online sportsbook. For sports fans – October is Rocktober - Rock on Everybody!

Western Conference clubs dominate Stanley Cup chalk list

Led by the Chicago Blackhawks, NHL Western Conference teams own seven of the top ten futures prices to win the Stanley Cup – in about nine months from now. The Hawks are far and away the odds on favourites as they will carry 13/2 (+650 ML) odds into the regular season. Perennial chalk Boston and the 2014 Stanley Cup Champion Kings are tied for second with 10/1 (+1000 ML) odds. Anaheim, Pittsburgh and St. Louis round out the top six as they are posted with a 12/1 (+1200 ML) price. If the Ducks get decent goaltending – they will tough to beat.

Upstart squads round out top end of NHL Championship betting lines

A couple of upstart Western Conference squads are included in the top ten favourites list as the Minnesota Wild (16/1) and the Colorado Avalanche (18/1) are both worthy of consideration. The Wild are a stacked on their blue line but have goaltending questions while the young Avalanche are just plain stacked across the board. Colorado, with young stars such as Matt Duchene, Nathan MacKinnon and Ryan O’Reilly, plus veterans like Jarome Ignila and Daniel Briere, may roll the best four lines in the NHL. If goaltender Semyon Valarnov can hold up between the pipes – the Avalanche could very well capture their first Stanley Cup since the 2000-01 NHL season.

NHL Stanley Cup Futures Wagering: It’s going to be an all out war from start to finish in the Western Conference this year. Since we like clubs who are battle tested in the regular season, once the playoffs begin, we have invested 100 units (300 total) on the Ducks, Blues and Avalanche to hoist the Stanley Cup in June. Getting in on the action is simple at the world famous Bodog sportsbook as you can register a personal batting account in seconds, fund your bankroll with a number of convenient banking options and then bank a 100% Free Bet Bonus.
