St. Louis and Washington share the NL top chalk perch

After posting a MLB best 56-33 first half record, the St. Louis Cardinals have moved into a tie with the Washington Nationals (48-39) as top favorites to win the NL Pennant. The Cardinals were tied with the Chicago Cubs as third NL favorites at SportsInteraction back in the preseason. St. Louis and Washington are also tied as top chalk to claim the World Series out of the National League. The LA Dodgers (51-39) Pittsburgh Pirates (53-35) and San Francisco Giants (46-43) round out the Fab Five NL Championship contenders list. We still like our Dodgers and Nationals preseason prediction.

American League: Defending AL Champions are now overall World Series favorites

Kansas City, the defending 2014 AL Champions, didn’t get much love from the bookmakers back in the preseason. The Royals (52-34) are getting some love now though as their AL Pennant price has slipped from +1400 back in March down to +325 today. As well, Kansas City is now the favorite to win the 2015 MLB World Series. Beginning to roll, after some early season stumbles, the LA Angels (48-40) have retained second favorite AL Pennant status. The surprising Houston Astros (49-42) and New York Yankees (48-40) are third and fourth AL Championship chalk respectively.
