Oakland Athletics have surged to the top of the betting board
Major League Baseball 2014 World Series Championship futures prices have changed dramatically from those posted at the SportsInteraction sportsbook back in February. If you like investing in futures favorites, get in on these prices now as they are certain to drop as we get closer to the MLB postseason. Thanks to a sparkling first half of the season, the Oakland Athletics (59-36) have surged from the tenth overall World Series favorite (+1500) in the preseason to the top of the SIA betting board as they are now +500 ML chalk. The A’s are a stacked squad.
Tigers and Dodgers round out the top three MLB World Series favorites
Third favorites with a +900 price when the season began, the Detroit Tigers (53-38) have moved up one spot as the Motor City Cats are now sporting a +600 money line price. The Tigers and Athletics are on a collision course that would see them meet in the MLB playoffs for a third straight season. After opening as preseason top chalk with +700 ML odds, the Los Angeles Dodgers are now the third overall favorites – even though their preseason price remains unchanged. The Los Angeles Angels and Washington Nationals round out the top five favorites.
