NBA action has just three games Thursday, November 15, 2012 so we are taking a peak at the Miami Heat and the Denver Nuggets from the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado. The game is scheduled to get underway at 10:30 PM ET. The Heat come into the game with six wins while the Nuggets have four wins early in the new season. We like the Heat to knock off the Nuggets on the road Thursday night in Colorado.
Miami Heat: Looking for a win in Denver
Miami has lost 10 straight games against the Nuggets in Denver, which is not a good stat to look at when the Heat are struggling on defense this season. When they won the title last year, the Heat’s defense was fourth in the league in scoring defense. This year, the Heat’s defense is close to the bottom of the league in scoring defense. Miami has all the weapons on offense to overcome a bad defense, which is why we like them tonight.
Denver Nuggets:10-game win streak at home over Miami
Coming into Thursday night’s game with Miami, the Nuggets boast a 10-game home winning streak over the Heat to go along with one of the highest scoring offenses in the Western Conference. The Nuggets currently average 99.1 points per game but permit an average of 98 points per game on defense. The Nuggets are in danger of having their home win streak against the Heat snapped tonight.
Both of these teams know how to score but they also share struggles on the defensive side of the ball, which could mean that we are in for one of the highest scoring games of the season tonight. The online sportbook at WilliamHill.com has the Heat at +3.5 (-110) in the spread against the Nuggets and +130 with the MoneyLine. We will put our money on the Heat and the MoneyLine Thursday night.
