On Thursday, February 28, 2013, the NHL schedule has a ton of games. The one between the Florida Panthers and the Buffalo Sabres is one of the most evenly matched and is being played at 7:30 PM ET. The game is being played at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida. We will back the host Panthers on Thursday.
Florida Panthers: Working to improve their play
Florida has a miniscule record of 6-9-4 this season, good for just 16 points, and a home mark of 3-4-3. In their last 10 games played, the Panthers are 3-4-3. They have won two straight games over the Sabres. The Panthers score 3.63 goals per game, but allow 2.47 goals per game this season.
Buffalo Sabres: Moving on after firing of head coach
Buffalo picked up its first win under interim coach Ron Rolston on Tuesday. Rolston replaced Lindy Ruff, who had been the longest tenured coach in the league prior to his firing. Buffalo is just 7-12-1 this season and 4-6-0 on the road. They have not won back-to-back games since February 7 and 9.
In what is an evenly matched game, the Sabres visit the Panthers on Thursday night in Florida. This is a tough game to pick because both teams have really struggled, but we really like Florida and their offense. We will take the -120 Money Line for Florida on Thursday over the visiting Sabres.
