Boston vs Toronto: Original Six Showdown NHL in Primetime on NBC Sports
Although it’s a very light night in the National Hockey League, with just two games on the Wednesday NHL schedule, both contests are fierce rivalry battles that should be beauties. Toronto hosts Boston at the Air Canada Centre to get things going at 8:00 PM ET, followed by the Los Angeles vs Anaheim tilt at 10:30 PM ET on November 12, 2014, from the Honda Center in sunny SoCal. We are focused on the Eastern Conference clash that’s featured as part of the NBC Sports “Wednesday Night Rivalry” package. The ACC will be buzzing.
Boston Bruins: B’s have been A-Okay without Captain ZC
NHL Eastern Conference foes collide as the Bruins and Maple Leafs meet in Toronto tonight. This is the second match of their four game season series as Boston won the first battle 4-1 in the Center of the Universe back on October 25, 2014. That was the Bruins first game without their Captain Zdeno Chara who is out four-to-six weeks with a knee injury. Boston is 6-1 and have won five straight without their hulking All Star defenceman. That said, the B’s recent winning streak has come against teams that have a combined 28-36-13 overall record.
Toronto Maple Leafs: Buds are starting to sprout on Bay Street
Since their loss to Boston in the first go-round, Toronto has posted a 5-1-1 record that includes a very emotional and thrilling 5-3 road win over the Senators in Ottawa this past Sunday. The Leafs trailed three times during the first two periods in what was one of the best games in the entire league this season. The Buds opponents in their five wins aren’t much to write home about either as they sport a combined 30-38-10 record. Though slightly faded, the epic 2013 seven-game NHL playoff battle still lingers between these teams adding some fuel to the fire. Maple Leafs vs Bruins Summary & Prediction: Though they were further apart on the schedule and much later last season, Toronto lost the first game 5-2 in this series at home last year but rebounded with a 4-3 OT win in the second contest at the ACC. If there’s one dominant statistic in this match it’s Tuukka Rask owning the Leafs to the tune of a 10-2-0 record with a 1.59 GAA during 14 career games. Though they won’t look past Toronto, Boston heads into another rivalry game tomorrow versus the Canadiens in Montreal. The Leafs next play on Friday when Pittsburgh rolls into town. We are going to ride the Tuukka Rask Express and back Boston with a 250 unit wager on the money line posted on the betting board at the world famous Bet365 online sportbook.

Handicappers who convince themselves - and anyone else who will listen - that the Kentucky Derby is just another race probably haven't cashed too many tickets on the first Saturday in May. The truth is people should bet the Derby differently because of just how unlike any other race it is.
