Bodog Betting Board: Major League Baseball Aces Are Wild Tonight
Feeling like a fox in the hen house, we like the parade of stud starters heading to the hill on tonight’s Major League Baseball schedule. Will the Price be right in Detroit? Is it Miller time in Chicago? Can King Felix bash the Blue Jays? Will Greinke slay the Giants? We are of the opinion that the answer is YES to all of the above. These contests, all of which have serious MLB playoff implications, are part of a full 15 game slate that plays out under the lights on September 23, 2014. Cash in on these aces in their last regular season start.
St. Louis vs Chicago: Cardinals look to club the Cubs again
Cardinals ace Adam Wainright was all that and a bag of chips last night as St. Louis mowed down the Cubs 8-0 to open a pivotal three game series in the Windy City. Clinging to a slim 2.5 lead over Pittsburgh in the NL Central, the Cards give the ball to white-hot RHP Shelby Miller (10-9 ERA 3.68) at Wrigley Field tonight. Shelby has been lights out recently as the rising star has given up just two earned runs (three total) over 26 innings in September and his four starts have resulted in St. Louis wins. It won’t be a walk in the park for the Cards as the Cubs send a rising star of their own to the bump here. Rookie RHP Kyle Hendricks (7-2 ERA 2.28) makes his 14th start of the season and Chicago has won nine of his last ten starts. We like the better hitting and playoff bound Cardinals.
Price, Hernadez and Greinke: Starters for playoff contenders tonight
Locked into fierce playoff battles, Detroit, Seattle and Los Angels all have major firepower on the bump tonight. The Tigers, who own a one game lead over the Royals in the AL Central, start strikeout ace David Price (14-12 ERA 3.37) against the playoff eliminated White Sox who sit fifth from the bottom with 1308 K’s this season. Seattle is two games out of the AL Wild Card race and they send RHP Felix Hernandez (14-5 ERA 2.07) to the hill versus the Blue Jays as the Mariners look to end an untimely three game losing skid. The Dodgers vs Giants tilt is the last game on the Bodog betting board as LA stud RHP Zack Greinke (15-8 ERA 2.76) battles SF ace LHP Madison Bumgarner (18-9 ERA 291). Greinke will set up Clayton Kershaw for a NL West clinching contest on Wednesday with a win at Chavez Ravine tonight. The Krushinator Gravy Train will be money tomorrow.
MLB Predictions: If this was Poker – we would be all in with quad bullets. It’s not however but we still like the four aces we’ve been dealt here. Our selections, all with the Bodog money line prices, are a 100 unit four team parlay (DET + SEA + STL + LAD), a 200 unit parlay on SEA + STL and 350 units each on Los Angeles and St. Louis to win straight up. Aces really are wild on the Bodog sportsbook betting board tonight!
