Bears vs 49ers NFL Monday Night Football Betting Lines
As the NFL season gets closer to the playoffs, the NFC offers a very intriguing game Monday, November 19, 2012 at 8:30 PM ET when the Chicago Bears take on the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners are hosting this affair at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, California. The game features two of the top teams in the conference, with the Bears coming in with a 7-2 mark and the 49ers with a 6-2-1 mark. Chicago’s weaknesses were exposed last week, which is why we will bet on the Niners tonight.
San Francisco 49ers: Closing in on top NFC seed
Despite playing to a tie with the Rams last week, the Niners are still one of the best teams in the NFC, even when Alex Smith does not line up under center. It has not been announced if Smith will play in tonight’s game, but if needed, Colin Kaepernick will get the nod. He finished the game against the Rams last week in Smith’s absence and performed well, completing 11 of 17 passes for 117 yards.
Chicago Bears: Without Cutler but atop the North
Jay Cutler has been ruled out of Monday night’s game and veteran Jason Campbell will get the start for the Bears, who are the leaders of the NFC North. Chicago will have to rely on its defense with Cutler out, as Campbell has played sparingly since week five of last season while with Oakland. The Bears defense is one of the best in the league, allowing just 14.8 points per game.
With two of the conference’s top teams scheduled to square off on Monday night, it could be a battle of backup quarterbacks that determines who wins the game. The online sportsbook of Sportsinteraction.com has the host 49ers as -3.5 (-105) home chalk to fend off the Bears and grab win number seven of the season. We like the Niners defense to outperform the Bears defense, so we will bet the 49ers.
